Playtech Sweepstakes Casino Slots to Leave California Market

As the dominos continue to fall, two top sweepstakes casinos have informed California players that they will no longer be able to play games from Playtech on their platforms. We are still waiting to see if this exit will spread to other markets where social casinos are offering Playtech games.

Playtech is the latest game designer to plan an exit from sweepstakes casino player in California.

In yet another announced exit, Playtech slots and table games will no longer be available for California players at sweepstakes casino sites.

Fallout from Anti-Stake California Lawsuit Continues

As the fallout continues from the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office lawsuit against sweepstakes casino Stake.us, yet another game designer, Playtech, is leaving social casino play in the state of California.

This comes after the announcement that Skywind's games are leaving sweeps casinos on September 5th and Pragmatic Play's slots are exiting on September 8th.

Hacksaw and Evolution, along with Pragmatic Play, were both explicitly named in the anti-Stake lawsuit; Evolution has announced an exit from sweepstakes play, but we have yet to hear from Hacksaw Gaming.

Chumba E-mail to Players Announces Playtech Exit

California users of Chumba Casino received an e-mail that certain games will be leaving their library. Three Playtech games were given as examples, including popular games Big Circus Mega Fire Blaze and Tsai Shen's Gift Fire Blaze.

Yours truly is a registered user of Chumba too, but I am in Florida, and I did not receive any such e-mail from Chumba Casino, so for now, it appears as if this move may be isolated to the California market.

Chumba Casino is owned by VGW, which also operates Luckyland Slots and Global Poker. So if you play sweeps games at either of those sites, you are likely to be affected as well.

Reports of Playtech Games Disappearing at McLuck

In yet another sign of a Playtech exit, at least a partial one, there are some reports of players in California that have seen the disappearance of popular Playtech titles. We don't have official confirmation of any such exit from the B2 Services family of casinos, so we don't know how widespread this exit may be.

B2 Services is the owner and operator of several online sweepstakes casinos, including McLuck Casino, Play Fame, Spin Blitz, and Hello Millions.

We did a quick check of our McLuck Casino account from here in Florida, and we still have all our Playtech games:

As of Friday, September 5th, all the Playtech slots are still available in the lobby of my Florida account at McLuck Casino, so any disappearance of games may be isolated.

Also, as of today, Friday, September 5th, McLuck and the other B2 Services brands are still offering their "Mission Spin Possible" promo that is always offered on Fridays and features exclusively Playtech brand slots.

If something changes, we'll definitely let you know.
