Who Will Win the Super Bowl?

Although we haven’t quite gotten to the opening game of the season, it could be argued that the NFL is already back. Rosters have been trimmed down to the 53 players each team is allowed, and training camps are well under way, with coaches hoping that they can now gel rookies and veterans into a formidable group.

Seattle is the reigning champion, and it will go into the new football season as one of the big favorites with all the best online sports betting sites. This is the moment when anything is possible for all fans and teams – even the Cleveland Browns. But which teams have the best chance of Super Bowl success?

Rams are the Team to Beat

Already one of the top tier teams in the league, it does feel as though the Rams decide every few years or so to go full Super Bowl or bust mode. Matthew Stafford is key to this team’s potential success, and it looks like he has gotten over his injury worries and will, once again, be pushing for MVP honors.

The big news in Los Angeles this summer has been the arrival of Myles Garrett, however. He seems to be the reason why the Rams were able to convince Aaron Donald to unretire, and they both turn an already strong defense into one that will strike fear into opponents. Add the acquisitions of Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson to the secondary, and it seems as though nothing will get through the Rams this year. That is why they are the Super Bowl favorites, and undoubtedly the team to beat.

Seahawks Go For Back-to-Back Titles

It seems a little unfair on the Seahawks that they are not even considered to be the best team in their division just a year after going all the way. If it wasn’t for the Rams, there would be a lot of people backing Seattle to go back-to-back, even with the departure of its star back and Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker III.

Mike MacDonald proved that he doesn’t need a truly elite quarterback to win a Super Bowl, but just one that will play to the absolute limit of his abilities. Sam Darnold surprised a lot of people, especially those in Minnesota, and will need to hit those heights again. But it is the defense that really puts the Seahawks in contention, and the old saying about defenses winning championships could be proven right again.

Bills to End the Curse?

When it finally looked like the Chiefs domination of the AFC was going to end last year and allow Josh Allen and the Bills to come through to win what would be an almost curse-ending championship, the Pats ruined the divisional party, allowing the Broncos to swoop in and end Buffalo’s season.

A new head coach means that there will be some new ideas on offense this year, and that might be just what Josh Allen and the Bills need to finally take the team all the way. The defense will undoubtedly improve, but it still feels that it will only take one or two issues to bring everything down on the Bills this season. The romantics among you will be hoping that Buffalo can prevail.

Broncos to Push On

It is not uncommon for teams in the contenders’ tier to overly rely on everything going well for their quarterback to keep them in the Super Bowl conversation. Bo Nix has proven to be a clutch player, and it can be argued that only a broken ankle ended Broncos hopes of a Super Bowl appearance last season.

Nix seems to be fit and healthy now, but Denver knows that he is critical to their Super Bowl hopes. A new offensive coordinator in the shape of Davis Webb should give the team some fresh ideas this year, but there will be a question over his inexperience at this level. If everything goes right, the Broncos should definitely be in with a shout.

Pats and Texans Lead Contenders

With the Rams and Seahawks leading the NFC’s charge, and the Bills and Broncos representing the AFC, the favorites to size up for Super Bowl rings are set. But as much as those teams (especially the Rams) might think that they are in their own tier, there are plenty of other very good teams who only need a little luck to come through and snatch glory for themselves.

The Patriots and Texans are two teams at the head of that queue. New England probably overachieved last season to win the AFC Championship, before coming unstuck against the Seahawks, and by bringing in AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs, Drake Maye now has one of the best receiving units in the league to work with. But it is the defense that may bring the Pats down to Earth, especially with a particularly tough regular season schedule.

CJ Stroud completely changed the fortunes of the Texans when he was drafted three years ago, and he is still the main reason for any optimism in Houston. The O-line has been overhauled, so that should give him some much-needed protection, while David Montgomery’s arrival will hopefully ease the need for Stroud to run with the ball and endanger himself. The Texans will still need a little luck to go all the way, however.

Super Bowl LXI Winner

There will be others, like the Packers, Bears, Eagles, and even the Chiefs, who will feel as though they have a chance this year. But it does really feel as though it is the Rams title to lose. They have gone all in on success, and it will take an incredible effort from any other team to stop the Lombardi Trophy from heading to Los Angeles again.
