Not all news coming out of Las Vegas is bad these days. Today we have some good stuff to share with you, including some incredible jackpot wins.
How About Some Big Progressive Jackpot Wins?
Lately there has been a lot of awful news from around Las Vegas, at least if you read what the influencers hunting for clicks have to say. However, there are some good things going on around the city too.
Big casino and resort brands are always inking new deals. New attractions are always springing up around the valley. And, in today's installment of our news report, there have been some amazing progressive jackpots hit at casinos around the State of Nevada.
Here's a quick rundown of some amazing hits we've spotted over the past few days:
- Over at the Silverton Casino Lodge, an off-strip casino, a local player snagged the super rare progressive jackpot side bet win on a Face Up Pai Gow Poker Table. The winning player scored the progressive jackpot win of $148,979, plus he also scored another $5,000 from his Fortune Bonus bet.
- A Face Up Pai Gow Poker player at the LINQ Casino on the strip also snagged the massive jackpot on Face Up Pai Gow Poker this past week. His seven card straight flush scored him an incredible $937,040 jackpot win, according to The LINQ's Facebook page.
- Last week over at the M Resort, a player hit a mind-blowing $139,652.88 grand jackpot on the Dragon Cash slot machine. The player was betting $25 when they scored the amazing win during the bonus feature. Face Up Pai Gow Poker over at the Fremont Hotel & Casino, where player Flora won $96,426 for her five aces. Geez, I think we are going to start making those side bets when we play Face Up Pai Gow.
- A Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa player was betting $25 on a Dragon Link slot machine about a week ago when they hit the mother lode. With just $768 remaining on the machine, enough for thirty more bets, the player scored an incredible, life-changing $1,016,562.42 jackpot. Wow!
- Over at the Virgin Hotels casino, a visitor from Hawaii was betting $10 when they won the Lightning Buffalo Linx Super Grand Jackpot Progressive. The haul for the lucky man? $179,796.66.
William Hill Taking Over Virgin Hotel & Casino's Sportsbook
Virgin Hotel, located off the Las Vegas strip, has made a deal with William Hill Nevada to take over its retail sportsbook operation.
William Hill will be bringing an expanded selection of betting options, plus more 24/7 betting kiosks at the property. They will also be introducing mobile sports gambling to Virgin's guests through their app.
Virgin had been on the prowl looking for a sportsbook partner for some time, as their previous sportsbook provider, Betfred, withdrew from the U.S. sports betting market earlier this year.
We don't have an exact date for the change to William Hill as the Virgin sportsbook provider, as the deal must first be approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission.
The Plaza Casino Opening Aristocrat Dedicated Space
Aristocrat is on a roll in the U.S. market, especially with the proliferation of online slots influencers that disproportionately favor their games. Titles like Buffalo always had a foothold in the market, but they are reaching entirely new levels with all the great publicity online. Mo' Mummy has also taken off too.
This Thursday, Aristocrat games will take center stage at a downtown resort. The Plaza Hotel & Casino will be opening a dedicated area for Aristocrat slots with over 60 machines.
Cleverly, the space is called the "Buffalo & Mo' Friends" gaming area.
Primm, Nevada Resort Casino Set to Close
It can't all be good news, can it?
Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino, located in Primm, Nevada, just over the border from California, is set to close soon.
Back in July, the casino resort made plans to move to a limited calendar that only included weekend offerings.
Now it appears that a near full closure is on the horizon.
On September 2nd, the Clark County Commission, in a unanimous vote, gave authorization for Affinity Gaming to close the hotel's operations for at least two years, with an option to extend the closure for two additional six-month blocks.
Under the plan approved by the CCC, Buffalo Bill's casino and restaurants will only be open for concerts and special events hosted at its 6,500 seat arena.
