VGW Group, parent of Chumba Casino, Luckyland Slots and Global Poker is ceasing operations in Mississippi.
Chumba, Luckyland Slots and Global Poker Exit Mississippi
Australia-based social casino company Virtual Gaming Worlds (often referred to as VGW) has announced that, as of July 31, 2025, they will be phasing out sweepstakes coin game operations in the state of Mississippi. Players will still be able to play in Gold Coins mode, but that's not very much fun, no matter how good the games are.
Starting July 31st, players located in Mississippi will be completely unable to acquire sweeps coins via any method. No more login bonuses. No more daily competitions. No more free sweepstakes coin "gifts" for buying gold coin (GC) packages. Additionally, starting July 31st, Mississippi players will no longer be able to create postal request codes to get free sweeps coins via U.S. mail.
Players will be able to continue to play with any sweeps coins they already have in their possession until August 13, 2025. Additionally, VGW will honor mail requests for free sweeps coins via their AMOE (Alternate Method of Entry) bonus through that date.
Once that date has passed, there will be a brief three week window for players to submit redemption requests for any sweeps coins they still have in their accounts.
However, once the calendar hits September 4, 2025, it's all over 100% for the folks in Mississippi. From that date forwards, Mississippi players will be unable to redeem any remaining sweepstakes coins.
Virtual Gaming Worlds (VGW) was one of the companies that received a cease-and-desist letter from Mississippi gaming regulators just last month.
VGW's exit from Mississippi comes on the heels of their recent decision to leave the state of New Jersey too.
