Oodles of Noodles is one of the latest video slots developed by Pragmatic Play. As we all know this game developer is no stranger to panda-themed slots, but Oodles of Noodles serves — never better put — a different element to it. Players will find all of their favorite ramen ingredients in this five reels by three rows grid that integrates 10 fixed paylines. All paylines pay from left to right, starting with the leftmost reel.

The game comes packed with ten regular symbols, including a red chilli pepper, an onion, a boiled egg, an avocado, a mushroom, and a head of lettuce. Also, the letters J, Q, K and A are symbols in the base game. (Of course, they are really card symbols - jack, queen, king, and ace. Dang, that annoys me when people call them by their letter names.)

These base game symbols pay for combinations of three or more on a payline. But base game symbols are boring; let's talk about the good stuff...

The Oodles of Noodles slot machine has two special symbols. One of them is the scatter symbol that can trigger the free games feature. That feature is triggered when three or more of the scatter symbols appear during a base game spin. The other special symbol is a unique panda symbol that only appears during the free spins feature. More about that later.

Oodles of Noodles Free Spins Feature

The scatter symbol, which is key to triggering the free games feature, is a ramen bowl. Whenever 3-5 scatters land on the grid during the base game, players collect 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. Occasionally, when there are only two scatter symbols landing during a base spin, those reels will freeze and the game may award an additional 1-3 scatter symbols and trigger the bonus anyways.

During the free spins feature, there will be five random noodle dishes either above the reels (mobile version) or below the reels (desktop version.) These noodle dishes will either include money awards or additional free spin awards.

Noodle dishes with money awards can be valued at anywhere from 2x up to 2000x the originating bet. Noodle dishes with free spin awards can be valued at one to fifteen additional free spins.

The special bonus symbol, a Panda, appears only during the free games feature. It is the key to collecting the noodle dish awards. Whenever the special Panda symbol lands on the reels during the free spins, either in full or in part, it will collect all the noodle dishes.

As always, there's a big twist. At the beginning of the free spins feature, you just have a little Panda symbol that occupies just one space on the grid. Each time the Panda appears during a spin, he grows in size large enough to cover an additional space. He can potentially grow big enough to cover all fifteen spaces on the grid. This is a very important detail; let me tell you why...

In addition to making it easier to land the Panda symbol on the reels and collect all the noodle dishes that have money and free spin awards, his size is an important detail for another reason. For every space the Panda symbol occupies on the screen during a spin, his multiplier grows for that spin. That multiplier is applied to all noodle dishes he collects on the spin.

For example, if your Panda covers five spaces and the noodle dish money awards are $10, $50 and $100, they will all be multiplied by 5x, making the awards $50, $250 and $500 instead. As you can see, the awards can get astronomical, especially if you can land a big dish like the 2000x award and get it multiplied.

The Oodles of Noodles slot machine also includes an option to directly buy the bonus. The cost of buying the bonus is 100x your current bet. This "buy a bonus" feature is called "Order Noodles" on the game.
