    Intro to McLuck's VIP Program

McLuck, a sweepstakes casino exclusively for players residing in the United States, has a pretty nice VIP program. If you're a big player, there is a lot to like, including substantial level up bonuses (as high as $2500), improved weekly percentage bonuses and cashback, and VIP host services.

However, they have a unique method for calculating your level in their program. If you're not planning well, it is unlikely you will ever reach the level you deserve. However, if you do plan well and execute, you can achieve a much higher level than your play warrants.

    mcluck-loyalty-club-vip-program.jpg

The McLuck VIP program has eight levels. All players start at the Iron level, but the level up McLuck bonuses start at level five, Platinum, All their best features, including VIP hosts, kick in at level six, Ruby.

    How McLuck's VIP Program Works

McLuck's VIP program is super unique; while the main driver of most sweepstakes casino VIP programs is a player's sweeps coin wagers, these have 0% weight in the McLuck VIP program.

The VIP program at McLuck uses the sum of your Gold Coin (fun mode) play wagers to determine your level. Most players will never research enough to learn this, and McLuck has constructed a big trap door to suck out all your gold coins from your account if you're not careful.

    The Evil Gold Coin Jackpot

The big trap door that will destroy your chances to jump VIP levels - if you don't avoid it - is the Gold Coin Progressive Jackpot.

    mcluck-vip-gold-coin-jackpots.jpg

Every time you place a wager at McLuck, regardless of if you are in Gold Coin or Sweeps Coin mode, McLuck will take 0.5% or $100 of your Gold Coins balance, whichever is higher, and contribute it to the Gold Coin Jackpot.

You are always opted into the Gold Coin Jackpot. You cannot opt out of it. That means that you will be bleeding your gold coins rapidly and most of the time you will play through them just one time before you run out. If that happens all the time, you are not going to advance levels. Their thresholds to advance are just too high if you're not being smart with your gold coins.

I researched the Gold Coins Jackpot at McLuck and learned that the return-to-player is roughly 70%. You will only get that 70% if you win your share of all jackpots, including the majors and grands.

To put that into context, the Grand Gold Coin Jackpot only hits once every few days, and that is with everyone with Gold Coins contributing to it every time they take a spin in either GC or SC mode.

On their web site, McLuck stated that 20% of every GC jackpot bet goes into the pool for the Grand Jackpot. That means if you never hit the grand, your RTP is more like 50%...and only if you get your share of the majors!

So, in order to level up in the VIP program, we can't let them piss away our Gold Coins. Lucky for you, I know exactly what you need to do.

The Most Important Keys to Level Up at McLuck

There are two really important keys to leveling up in the McLuck VIP program:

    • NEVER play your Sweeps Coins while you have a significant Gold Coins balance.
    • ALWAYS play your Gold Coins with larger bets.

OK, now let me explain why these two keys are important.

If you read the section above about the "evil" Gold Coin Jackpot, the first key will make sense to you easily. If you play your Sweeps Coins before you play your Gold Coins, 100% of your Gold Coins will get dumped into the Gold Coin Jackpot pool. The RTP on that bet is the worst at McLuck Casino at just 70%, and the RTP is only 50% if you never hit the Grand Jackpot.

If you allow all your Gold Coin wagering activity to be for that jackpot, you will not have a high enough RTP to cycle through your coins multiple times, which you will need in order to generate enough play to move up through the levels.

The second major key is to always play Gold Coins with larger bets. If you have a balance of 100,000 Gold Coins, every bet you make at that level will pitch 500 Gold Coins into the jackpot pool (0.5% of your GC balance.) There's no way to avoid that. However, you can be smart and minimize those coins' percentage of your overall play and get a higher percentage invested into the main slot game, which will pay in the 94%-97% in most cases.

I try to bet a minimum of 5% of my Gold Coins on every spin or bonus I buy. If I do that, I am risking 5.5% of my balance per round (5% bet + 0.5% towards the GC jackpots), but less than 10% of that is going into that evil jackpot bet.

Conversely, let's look at that 100,000 coin balance scenario when you bet the minimum, 70 Gold Coins (GC) on most slots at McLuck. If you do that, you will bet 70 coins on the good bet (the main game) and 100 coins in that silly jackpot. Out of the 170 total coins bet, nearly 60% will be going in the jackpot bet with the super low RTP.

If you're a high roller or don't have a lot of spare time, those are the main rules you need to follow...play Gold Coins before Sweeps Coins, and bet big while playing in GC mode.

However, if you have some spare time or you're willing to commit some time to leveling up, even if you don't have money to make a McLuck deposit, I have some super hacks for you in the sections that follow.

Super Hack #1 - Unlimited GC Play

    mcluck-unlimited-free-gold-coin-play-games.jpg

My first super hack is using unlimited Gold Coin play at McLuck. There are four games in the image above that you can play, even if you have no Gold Coins (GC) in your account. The limits are low, but hack #2 will explain how you can leverage them to get even more play out of the coins they give you to play these games.

Unlimited GC Play games at McLuck Casino work like this: if you can't afford your bet, they will gift you 30 Gold Coins and then push the bet through anyways. That gives you an unlimited faucet.

These games have low limits. Most of them max out at 2 Gold Coins per spin; however, that upcoming second hack will help you get more out of them.

But, before we get to hack number two, let's take a look at your four unlimited play options:

    Lady Fortune Slot Machine

    mcluck-lady-fortune-slot-machine.jpg

This one has a limit of $1 per spin (or $1.25 per spin if you activate the "double chance of free spins" option.) You will want to activate that option, because you will rack up 25% more play per spin. Additionally, you will have more frequent big wins, which are key to using the second hack effectively.

One great thing about Lady Fortune is that it has an endless autoplay. You could start the game on your phone before you go to bed using autoplay and it will play all night...unattended by you.

    Hercules & Pegasus Slot Machine

    mcluck-hercules-and-pegasus-slot-machine.jpg

This one has a limit of $2 per spin and it also has an autoplay feature; however, you can only set the autoplay to 1000 spins. There are two main details of this game that will affect how you use it; one is good and one is bad.

The Good - The autoplay runs super fast if you enable turbo spins when setting up the autoplay.

The Bad - There is a "scrolls" feature from time-to-time that requires you to be available to tap a scroll or the game won't continue. That means you can't run it all night while you sleep.

    Candy Stars Slot Machine

    mcluck-candy-stars-slot-machine.jpg

This one has a $2 max bet and an autoplay feature. The autoplay has a max of 1000 spins and, like Hercules & Pegasus, there is a turbo option. However, there is a downside. This game plays a little slow and it is one of those cascading/tumbling games, so sometimes one spin can take a while.

    Fruits & Jokers Slot Machine

    mcluck-fruits-and-jokers-slot-machine.jpg

Fruits & Jokers is the All-Star of the unlimited GC slot play games at McLuck Casino. Although it can change at any time, currently the max is 100 Gold Coins per spin.

If you want to run autoplay, you will need to set it at $2 or less per spin for it not to glitch up when you don't have enough to make a bet. The autoplay is endless, so you can let it run unattended while you sleep.

And here's where it gets good. If you actually tap the spin button instead of using autoplay, you can bet up to 20 Gold Coins and you will still have the endless faucet of free coins that allow you to play even if you're broke.

Want to take it up a notch? Grab a free auto clicker app and have it do the work. It will move the game faster and it will allow you to do those 20 GC spins.

Now, the next hack is the one that can really help you move levels faster.

Super Hack #2 - Siphon Off Unlimited GC Play Wins

If you just do the unlimited GC play games and nothing else, you will be able to move up a few levels, but you won't have the play required to hit the really good levels like Platinum, Ruby, Diamond, and Black Diamond. To do that, we need a hack, and I have one that can get us up to Ruby.

If you play the unlimited games, especially Fruits & Jokers for 20 GC per spin, you are going to have moments where you win a significant number of coins. If you do nothing, your games will continue playing as normal and you will generate the same amount of play that you always get, win or lose.

However, there is a way to get more...

If you have another game open and have it ready to bet 70 or so GC every time you have a big win on one of the unlimited games, you can siphon off those coins and use them to generate even more play. In the meantime, your unlimited games on autoplay will just keep playing like normal and accumulating more GC play.

This will grow your amount of Gold Coins played in a major way.

    Conclusion

If you're not paying attention to the details, advancing through McLuck's VIP program is nearly impossible. With a plan and execution of it, your advancement is guaranteed. You just have to play smart.

I used the techniques in this article to hit Platinum last month and I had previously never achieved more than Silver, which is two levels lower. If my pace holds true, I will be at Ruby by the end of the month, and that comes with a $250 sweeps coins bonus.

And I did that while betting like a normal guy with reasonable deposits; no high roller activity here.

    You can do it, too!
